De wereldreis van de fam. Smit heeft een korte pauze gehad, maar nu gaat hij weer verder!
Onderstaand een stukje uit het verslag, aangetroffen op hun social media pagina. Hier zijn we natuurlijk super trots op!
"We never stop being amazed at the resilience and fantastically clever design of the Zambezi. We have driven more than 47.000 km over some really bad roads, slept more than 300 days in this tent-trailer in temperatures ranging from -8 C in Flagstaff, Arizona, to 46 C in Sonora; we have been hammered by rain for four days in Nashville, exposed to heavy winds in New Orleans and camped three weeks in the Mexican Yucatan with continued humidity of 80-90% but the Zambezi continues to be as strong going as the day we bought her from Aart Kok, BV, in the Netherlands.
Of course we need to do some maintenance from time to time (see our post of 11th December 2015) but the Zambezi proved to be the very best tent-trailer we could have ever wished for our “Tour around the world in a 1957 Mercedes-Benz”!
